[50] madhumaṅgalas tu viśastā khalv iyaṃ kathaṃ śastaṃ vadatu nāmeti nivedya yathādiśanti mahārāja-mahāśayā iti prasthitavān | prasthāya ca tāsāṃ sthānam āsīdann āśī-rāśibhiḥ prasādam āsādayāmāsa |

[50] But Madhumaṅgala submitted, "She is indeed accursed—how could she speak anything auspicious?" and saying, "As the great king commands," he departed. Having departed and approached their place, he secured their favour with showers of blessings.
