āyāte vrajam acyute ripu-jaya-svasti-praśastīḍite
sarve' py unmadatāṃ gatā bahu-vidhaṃ saṃvādam unnirmamuḥ | kiṃ tu drāk pitarāv amuṣya vadanaṃ tad vīkṣyamāṇāv amū
svair bāṣpāmbubhir āplutaṃ mamṛjatur vikruśya mūkāv iva || [17] atha samāpanam-
ayaṃ sa stava-bhāk sūnus tava gopa-narādhipa | pūṣitās tridaśā yena mūṣitās tridaśārayaḥ ||

When Acyuta returned to Vraja, praised with congratulations on His victory over the enemy,
everyone went wild with joy and exchanged many kinds of talk.
Yet His two parents, gazing intently at His face,
suddenly cried out and wiped it, bathed in their tears, as if rendered mute.
[17] Now, the conclusion:
"This is that praiseworthy son of yours, O king of the cowherds,
by whom the gods were nourished and the enemies of the gods were plundered."
