utprekṣante ca-
upanando' bhinandaś ca nandaḥ sannanda-nandanau |
ity ākhyāḥ kurvatā pitrā nander arthaḥ sudaṇḍitaḥ ||
And they offer a poetical fancy: / "Upananda, Abhinanda, Nanda, Sannanda, and Nandana— / by giving these names, the father has thoroughly explained the meaning of the root nand- ['to rejoice']."
