[32] sa punaḥ pitur ājñām aṅgīkṛtya kṛta-kṛtyas tasyām eva śrī-vasudevādi-saṃvalita-mahānubhāvānāṃ sabhāyām āhūya sabhāvam utsaṅga-saṅginaṃ vidhāya madhyamam eva nijānujaṃ tena tilakena gokula-rājatayā sabhājayāmāsa |

He, however, having accepted his father's command and accomplished his duty, in that very assembly of noble persons accompanied by the venerable Vasudeva and others, called his middle younger brother, lovingly placed him on his lap, and honoured him with that mark as the king of Gokula.
