sambandhād vaḥ samantād aham api sa tathā yāmi taṃ vṛṣṇi-vṛnde
yuṣmākaṃ prāṇa-yogya-praṇaya-bhuvi tathaivāvanaṃ saṃvidhitse |
kintv eṣā mūrtir atra svayam api tu bhavat-pārśva-vartī mamātmā
kiṃ vā mūrtiś ca tasmin bhavati hi bhavatāṃ sphūrtir eva pramāṇam ||

'Because of my relationship with you on all sides, I am also thus going into the Vṛṣṇi fold, / and in that very way I wish to arrange protection for your realm of affection worthy of your life-breath. / But this form is here, while my very soul dwells beside you; / or whether my form is also there—your inner vision alone is the proof.'
