vraje jāter jātā vraja-jana-samāna-prakṛtitā
tataḥ kṛṣṇe premā tam anu sahasā taṃ prati gatiḥ |
tatas tatrāsaṅgas tam anu viparītaṃ kim api tat
tato vyaktaṃ tac ca praṇaya sakhi dhik kiṃ nu karavai || iti |

From birth in Vraja came a nature identical to that of the people of Vraja; / from that came love for Kṛṣṇa; after that, suddenly, going to him; / after that, non-attachment there; after that, something quite contrary; / and after that, it became manifest.
