[159] ṛṣir uvāca-śambareṇa janmata eva dyumnavat tava gṛhād apahṛtasya pradyumna-nāmnas tvat-putrasya samparāye sambandhaṃ tad-dhanana-caritraṃ vicitratayā gāsyanti, yathā-

[159] The sage said: They will sing with wonder the story of the slaying in battle of your son named Pradyumna, who was abducted right from birth like wealth from your home by Śambara, as follows:
