dyūta-krīḍā bhagavatā kṛtā gopa-janaiḥ saha |
paṇāvahāra-rūpeṇa jitā gopyo dhanāni ca |
gopair ānīya tatraiva kṛṣṇāya viniveditāḥ ||iti |

‘A dice-game was played by the Lord with the cowherd folk;
by winning the wager, the cowherd women and the wealth were won.
Brought right there by the cowherds, they were offered to Kṛṣṇa.’”
