premā vaśayati sarvaṃ khalv iti na mṛṣā prasiddhir udbhāti |
kṛṣṇa tvam api sa yasmān na bhajasi pūrvāparānusandhānam ||tasmād vimana-sama-dhiyaṃs tvām aham āgacchamācchannam |
tāṃ smārayitum avaśyaṃ yā sambhavitā bhaval-līlā ||loke' smiṃs tava bhaktā bahavaḥ kramaśaś ca te pālyāḥ |
tasmād avaśyam udiyuḥ paurvāparyeṇa tā līlāḥ ||

'Love indeed brings everyone under its control'—this proverb certainly does not shine forth falsely, / since even you, O Kṛṣṇa, do not consider what comes before and after. // Therefore, I have come to you whose mind is overwhelmed, / to remind you of that necessary pastime of yours that must take place. // In this world, you have many devotees, and they must be protected one by one; / therefore, those pastimes must necessarily arise in due order. //"
