akrūraṃ dvāra-mātraṃ vidadhad atha bhavān vṛṣṇi-dhiṣṇyāni gatvā
bhuṅktvā traiyakṣa-cāpaṃ sapadi kuvalayāpīḍakaṃ pīḍayitvā |
mallān hatvā paraśvo danuja-jani-tanuṃ kaṃsakaṃ dhvaṃsayitvā
rājyaṃ dattvograsenaṃ prati nija-janakau mocayiṣyaty avaśyam ||

“Then, making Akrūra merely an instrument, having gone to the abodes of the Vṛṣṇis, / having broken the bow of the three-eyed Śiva, and having instantly crushed Kuvalayāpīḍa; / having slain the wrestlers, on the day after tomorrow, having destroyed Kaṃsa who bears the body of a demon-born, / and having given the kingdom to Ugrasena, You will surely liberate Your own parents. //”
