[70] kṛṣṇaḥ svagatam-na jāne, janena tad varṇyamānam ākarṇya niravalambatāṃ saṃvalamānānāṃ mayy anukampā-sampātavatām ambādīnāṃ kā daśā bhavatā yā samprati ca mama hṛt-kampāya sampadyate | [71] bhavatu, prastāvāntaraṃ vistārayāmaḥ iti spaṣṭam ācaṣṭa-bhagavan ! ko' sau pañcajanaḥ ?

[70] Kṛṣṇa to himself: "I know not what state will befall my mother and the others who, feeling helpless on hearing people describe that, shower compassion upon me—a state which even now causes my heart to tremble. [71] Be that as it may, let us expand on another topic." So he said clearly: "O venerable one! Who is this Pañcajana?"
