[8] tatra ca tasya pitṛ-paitāmahaṃ vṛttaṃ pūrvaṃ tau vṛttaṃ kurvantau tac-carita-bhavya-maya-navya-kāvyasyāpi tad ivācaritavantau janma-vṛttena ca janma-vṛttam iva |

[8] And there, first turning into meter the deeds of his father and grandfather, they did the same, as it were, for the new poem composed of his splendid deeds, and portrayed the course of his birth through the narrative of his birth.
