svayaṃ lakṣmīr apy acyuta-hṛdi gatāpy anya-vapuṣā
tapas taptvā yaṃ kvāpy alabhata na rāsādi-mahasi |
tam etaṃ govindaṃ vaśitam anuvindan vraja-ramā-
gaṇaḥ śarmāvindat kiyad iti kathaṃ kaḥ kathayatu? ||

Even Lakṣmī herself, though residing on Acyuta's chest, having assumed another form
and performed austerities, never obtained him anywhere in the festival of the rāsa dance and other pastimes;
how can anyone describe what great happiness the host of the beauties of Vraja attained,
finding this Govinda completely brought under their sway? ||
