[14] tadā ca vāruṇīm anuraktaḥ patana-saktaḥ sa dina-nāthaḥ kṛta-nadī-nātha-pāthaḥ-kvāthaḥ svam ālokaṃ lokam api tamasi veśayāmāsa |

[14] And at that time, having turned red and attached to the western quarter, the sun, desiring to set, made the waters of the ocean boil and caused its own light as well as the world to enter into darkness.
