[23] Then Rohiṇī’s son, along with his younger brother, having appropriately extended the first part of hospitality—welcome and the like—served him a feast full of delicacies. When he had eaten, he happily offered him mouth-fragrancing spices and betel. Immediately after that, he led him to the glorious king of Vraja. / And on that occasion— / When the lord of Vraja met the prostrate Akrūra, remembering the distress arising from Kaṃsa, / he praised him with tearful words of blessing for the virtues that remove all fatigue: / “Even amidst such simplicity of his, when I recall that Kaṃsa's cruelty of mind, / my heart trembles, burns incessantly, alas, and turns to ash even today!” ||23
