[59] tataḥ sa-pulaka-pālitam aṅkaṃ pālayati vraja-bhūpāle sarva evākharvam ānanda-garvam uvāheti kathāyāṃ śānta-prathāyāṃ madhukaṇṭha uvāca-

[59] Then, as the king of Vraja held him on his lap with hairs standing on end, everyone bore no small pride of joy; and when the narration had reached calm, Madhukaṇṭha said:
