hā tasya smita-cāru-vaktra-valayaṃ khelāñci-netrāñcalaṃ
cittānanda-vidhāyi-gīr-vilasitaṃ līlākulaṃ lokanam |
sākṣāt-kṛtya na jātu tat tad upamāṃ cāsoḍha yā vighna-dhīs
tyāgārtiṃ yadi sā saheta garalaṃ tatrāmṛtaṃ vetti na ||

Ah, that circle of His face lovely with a smile, the outer corner of His eye adorned with playful glances,
His playful words bringing joy to the heart, His look filled with sportive charm!
If that mind, which upon seeing them directly could never tolerate any obstacle [that compared with them],
should endure the pain of abandonment, it would not know poison from nectar.’
