ekaṃ tatra babhūva citram akhila-jñānātidūraṃ yathā
sāṅgaṃ svāṅgam akarṣi yarhi hariṇā vinyāsi tad yarhi ca |
vyātyāsaḥ sphurati sma tarhi balavan malle tu kiṃ cāsphurad
dūrād apy asakṛt pari-pratinidhir ghātādikānāṃ vidhiḥ || (śārdūla)

There was one wonder there, far beyond all comprehension: / whenever Hari pulled his limb or placed it along with his whole body, / a powerful reversal manifested in the wrestler; and what else appeared? / Even from afar, again and again, there was a substituted operation of blows and strikes! ||
