tataḥ sva-vṛndena niśāntam āpitā
balena bālās tad urīkṛtāgatim |
prācīna-tad-rīti-śatena niścitāṃ
vinirmāṇā muhur eva tāṃ jaguḥ ||
Then, brought to the dawn by their companions, / the maidens, having forcibly accepted that arrival / made certain through hundreds of his past habits, / sang repeatedly of it as they fashioned it [in their minds]. ||
