[10] tad evam avadhāya mukhāvalokanaṃ vyatividhāya satsu sabhāsatsu vikadru-nāmā yadu-bṛddhaḥ samṛddha-kṣobham ācacakṣe,- pūrvam asmākam ekaḥ kaṃsaka eva dhvaṃsaka āsīt | tad-balād anye punar asmābhir na gaṇyeṣu kṛtāḥ, bhavatā pramāpite tu tasmin pracura-pramāṇas tad-vidhā jātāḥ, yato jarāsandhādayas tat-sambandhāhita-nirbandhāḥ koṭayaḥ prasārita-śastra-koṭayaḥ santi | tasmād bhavan-mātrāśraya-praṇayanīya-prāṇa-trāṇa-yātrā yadavaḥ svayaṃ yathāvad avasthāpyantāṃ saṃsthāpyantāṃ vā |

Hearing this and exchanging glances among themselves, an elder of the Yadus named Vikadru spoke amid mounting agitation: "Previously, Kaṃsa was our sole destroyer. Relying on his power, the others were not even taken into account by us. But when he was slain by you, countless others like him arose, since Jarāsandha and others, whose hostility is fixed due to their connection with him, number in the millions with millions of weapons drawn. Therefore, the Yadus, whose survival and livelihood depend solely on taking shelter of you, should personally be properly settled or established by you.
