[12] atha tad etad anatikramyaṃ niśamya samyag vācaṃ saṃyamya durmanā iva tasmād apagamya śrī-vasudeva-devakībhyāṃ dharmyaṃ harmyam āgamya śrī-rāmeṇa samam eva tāv anu nivedayāmāsa,- śrī-mat-pitarāv-ājñā-vitarāyāvadhānam atrādhattām |

Then, hearing these unassailable words, fully restraining his speech and turning away as if disheartened, he went with Śrī Rāma to the lawful residence of Śrī Vasudeva and Devakī and made this request before the two of them: "May my venerable parents graciously grant their attention to give us permission!"
