[63] pūrṇimā covāca-gopa-nārībhiḥ ity atra nṛ-narayor vṛddhiś ceti jātāv eva strī-pratyaya-vidhānād gopa-jātibhir nārībhir iti gamyam | tṛtīya-skandhe devahūtim uddiśya kardamaṃ prati śrī-śukla-vacane

[63] And Pūrṇimā said: 'In the phrase "with the cowherd women" (gopa-nārībhiḥ), because the feminine affix is prescribed only for a caste according to the rule: "And vṛddhi of nṛ and nara", it should be understood as: "by women belonging to the cowherd caste." In the third canto, in the words of Śrī Śukla to Kardama regarding Devahūti,
