[79] Pūrṇamāsī said: “‘[The gods who are] to be propitiated’ (sādhyāḥ) means: to be pleased by all of us. ‘All-pervading’ (sarva-gataḥ) means: like Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s bodily form, He is omnipresent through His inconceivable energy. Nevertheless, His being above all else is understood because He appears precisely thus to such worshippers. The great space is Brahman, in accordance with the maxim ‘The ether [is Brahman], because of its characteristic mark’ (Vedānta-sūtra 1.1.22). ‘Attained thereto’ (tad-gataḥ) means: to be experienced even beyond that experience. ‘Full of ascetic power’ (tapomayī) means: full of supreme sovereignty. ‘Which we do not know’ (yāṃ na vidmaḥ) implies: even Brahmā does not fully reveal it, because it is difficult to know.”
