[19] tad-evaṃ mantraṃ vidhāya śrī-vrajeśituranasāṃ samūha sannidhāya tābhyāṃ tasya parisaraḥ samājagme | samāgamya ca praṇamya samyagāsanam āsthitayos tayo rāma eva tasmin sadasi yad vṛttaṃ tat pravṛttaṃ cakre |
[20] tatra svayaṃ kṛṣṇas tu pitṛ-pitṛvyādīn api sa-vinayaṃ paśyan kiñcid vihasann iva tasya śeṣam āha sma,- hanta! kādācitkīm ākāśa-vāṇīṃ pramāṇīkṛtya mayi nija-devakī-putratām api te sūcayanti, tad-antargataṃ sva-mataṃ kāraṇaṃ tu nāvatārayanti iti |

[19] Having thus deliberated and gathered near the king of Vraja's assembly of carts, the two came into his presence. Having approached, bowed down, and properly taken their seats, Rāma himself set forth before that assembly what had taken place.
[20] There Kṛṣṇa himself, looking modestly even upon his father, uncles, and the rest, smiling slightly, spoke the rest of it: "Alas! Taking an occasional voice from the sky as authority, they even hint that I am their Devakī's son, but they do not disclose the motive they hold in their own minds!"
