yataḥ-
kaṃsasya dhvaṃsanānte vraja-vasati-gane gacchati svīya-gehaṃ
taṃ kṛṣṇaṃ taṃ ca rāmaṃ tam api paśupati-ksmā-patiṃ tāṃś ca gopān |
śrīdāmādyāṃś ca tāṃs tān api ca tad-anugān navya-viccheda-bhīter
antaḥ smṛtvā mad-antar-virasa-vaśatayā sarvam arvāg jahāti ||

For: / When, after the destruction of Kaṃsa, the company of Vraja's residents was returning to their own home, / remembering within that Kṛṣṇa, that Rāma, that lord of cattle and king of the land, and those cowherds, / and Śrīdāman and the others, and their followers, from fear of fresh separation, / overpowered by the bitter grief in my heart, my [voice] fails and leaves everything unfinished.
