satyaṃ santyajya yuṣmān niyata-mad-anuga-prāṇanā niṣpramāṇā
dharmyaṃ me nāsti kiṃcit tad api sa-vayasaḥ śrūyatāṃ man-nivedyam |
yuṣmākaṃ yātisetur mayi ratir atulā sā tu māṃ hrepayantī
tat-tulyāsakti-riktaṃ hnuta-tanum akaron nāsmi dūraḥ kadāpi ||

"It is true: abandoning you all, who live entirely dependent on me, is without justification; / I have no righteous excuse at all. Even so, O friends of my own age, hear what I have to tell: / that peerless love of yours for me, which surpasses all bounds, puts me to shame; / leaving me empty of an equal devotion, it has concealed my form, yet I am never far away. ||
