tad vṛnde gṛham abhiyāti bandhu-vargā
dhāvantaḥ krama-militā mithaḥ purogāḥ |
ye gaṅgā-jharam anu nirjhara-prabhedā
yadvat tat-tūlitatayānayanta vṛddhim ||

As his multitude of kin was proceeding toward the home, / running and joining one another step by step out in front, / like different cascades following the rush of the Gaṅgā, / they caused an increase by equal measure. //
