ānarcire vrajeśitrā mātṛkā yās tadā tu tāḥ |
mātuḥ kam iva kaṃ yāsām ity artha-vyaktim āgatāḥ ||atha nāndīmukha-śrāddhaṃ rāddhaṃ gopāla-pālinā |
pitaro hi svayaṃ yasmiṃs te nāndīmukhatāṃ gatāḥ ||

The king of Vraja worshipped the Divine Mothers then, / who made evident their meaning, “To whose mother indeed [do they not bring joy]?” / Then the nāndīmukha-śrāddha was accomplished by the protector of the cowherds, / in which the ancestors themselves became gladdened. //
