[16] dūta uvāca-"sā tu kanyā tasyānyāya-bhājo bhojeśasya hastād astāpi prastaram aprāptā, pratyuta tan-mastaka-nyasta-caraṇam ūrdhva-gatyā samutpatyāśu divy anyad eva divyaṃ rūpaṃ smitavatī prakāśitavatī |"

[16] The messenger said: "Though hurled from the hand of that unjust lord of the Bhojas, that maiden did not strike the stone; on the contrary, placing her foot upon his head and flying upward in the sky, she smilingly displayed another, divine form."
