[18] dūta uvāca,
"śyāmāṣṭapāṇi-pariveṣṭita-pārśva-yugmā
cakrādi-śastra-valitā khaga-siṃha-vāhā |
devādibhiḥ pariṇuta-prasarat-prabhāvā
sarvaiḥ samunnata-mukhaiḥ parito vyaloki || [vasanta] iti yādṛśam |"

[18] The messenger said:
"'With her dark flanks encircled by eight hands, / equipped with weapons such as the discus, riding a lion and a bird, / her spreading glory praised by the gods and others, / she was seen all around by all whose faces were turned upward.' ||1|| Thus she was."
