[42] atha tenāvrajita-sadeśaḥ śrīmān vraja-maheśaḥ sahasā mahasāvṛtatayā sābhyutthānam utthāya nyāya-paramaḥ, kṛta-tad-abhigamaḥ svam anujam anuraktaḥ pariṣvaktavān pariṣvaktaś cānena na tu kañcit kaścin natavān, jātāv ekasya jyāyastvam anyasya tu jātāv iti | na ca kevalam etad eva kāraṇatām avalambate, api tu paraspara-praṇayātiśayaś ca, yenānyan nānusandhātuṃ śakyate |

[42] Then the glorious sovereign of Vraja, whose place had been reached by him, being suddenly filled with majesty, rose up in greeting. Committed to propriety and advancing toward him, full of affection, he embraced his younger brother, and was embraced by him. Neither bowed to the other, for seniority belonged to one by birth, and to the other by caste. And not only this served as the reason, but also their mutual excess of affection, because of which nothing else could be kept in mind.
