[73] atha samāpanam idaṃ madhukaṇṭha-vacanam,
adbhutaṃ bālyacaritaṃ tava sūnor vrajeśvara |
kva tṛṇāvarta-dalanaṃ kva mātur bhaya-bhāvanam? || [anuṣṭubh]

Now this concluding utterance of Madhukaṇṭha: / "Wondrous is the childhood conduct of your son, O lord of Vraja! / Where is the crushing of Tṛṇāvarta, and where this feeling of fear toward his mother?"
