[56] sutas tu bālya-bhāvād ardhārdha-varṇaṃ varṇayāmāsa, kadācid ācita-phalā dhānyāni mūlyam ādāya dhanyā mayi cānukūlyam ādhāya samarpitavatī |

[56] But the son, out of childhood innocence, described it in broken half-syllables: "A fortunate woman, her fruits piled high, took grains as payment and, showing me favor, gave them."
