dīrgha-śvāsaṃ gātra-moṭa-prayuktaṃ
netre mārjan jāgrad ambeti jalpan |
krandan mantha-dhvānam ākarṇya bālaḥ
śrī-gopālaḥ praskhalaṃs tāṃ jagāma || [rucirā]

Letting out a deep sigh accompanied by the stretching of his limbs, / rubbing his eyes, waking up, babbling "Mother!", / crying as he heard the sound of the churning rod, / the child, illustrious Gopāla, went to her with faltering steps. ||3
