tato gṛhābhyantara-śikya-lakṣitaṃ
haiyaṅgavīnaṃ parigṛhya yatnataḥ |
jaghāsa tatrorvaritaṃ tu pakṣaka-
dvāreṇa nihnutya jahāra keśavaḥ || [upajāti 12]

Then, having carefully taken the fresh butter
seen on the hanging swing-basket inside the house,
Keśava ate it there, and concealing the remainder,
he carried it off through a side door. ||
