dhātrīṇām aparatra karmaṇi manāg dattātmanām agrataḥ
savyāsavya-dṛśor dṛśor aviṣaye sāntarddhi-deśe ca tau |
krīḍā-dambha-vaśāt kramād apagatau vidrutya dūra-sthitau
tatrātha sva-suhṛdbhir uddhata-gaṇaiḥ kolāhalaṃ cakratuḥ || [śārdūla]

In front of the nurses who were slightly absorbed in another task, / beyond the vision of their left and right eyes and in a concealed place, / gradually slipping away under the pretext of play and running far off, / there with their companions, an unruly company, they made a loud commotion. ||2
