Then Daśaratha, worshipped by the two of them along with his family priest, performed there the auspicious tonsure rite for his sons.
By his father's command, the descendant of Raghu accepted Sītā from Janaka,
as fire accepts the offering from the sacrificer according to the precept of Vedic tradition. (108)
