Then, as Laṅkā was burning:
Hanūmat scattered across the sky a mass of smoke like Trijaṭā to Vaidehī: / a night to the lotus-faces of the demon women, / the arrival of the monsoon to the peahen that is the earth, / a mass of storm clouds to the flock of kadamba birds that was the Ten-faced One's fame, / and like the ascetic tresses of the bride Laṅkā whose mind was resolved on the attire suited to widowhood. ..57..
