evaṃ vikramanītibhyāṃ deśaṃ śodhayato nijam /
śrīŚiraśśāṭako rājño dvāraiśvaryam avāptavān //
As he thus cleared his country through valor and policy,
Śrī Śiraśśāṭaka obtained from the king the lordship of the Gate.

tasya rājño 'bhavat putro nāmnā Śāhābhadenakaḥ /
balabuddhikṣamāśauryamantrotsāhaguṇair yutaḥ // *26 //
That king had a son named Shihāb al-Dīn,
endowed with the virtues of strength, intellect, patience, valor, counsel, and enterprise.
