ekonatriṃśe 11 varṣe 'tha duṣkṛtodbhavam adbhutam /
durbhikṣaṃ kṣobhayām āsa lokaṃ śokākulaṃ mahat //

Then, in the twenty-ninth year, an astonishing, dreadful famine, / born of evil deeds, agitated the people, who were overwhelmed with grief.
