brāhmaṇyāt Kālhaṇīn rakṣan rājyaṃ puṇyaṃ ca labdhavān //
Conquering his enemies in battle before the eyes of [the king of] Rājapurī, / and rescuing the women of Kalhaṇa's clan out of respect for Brahminhood, he gained both kingdom and spiritual merit.
