ekāṃ śākhāṃ sakalpāṃ vā ṣaḍbhiraṅgairadhītya ca /
ṣaṭkarmmanirato vipraḥ śrotriyo nāma dharmmavit //
Having studied one Vedic recension along with the Kalpa and the six Vedāṅgas, / and devoted to the six duties, a Brahmin who knows dharma is called a śrotriya.
