gurau purohitādau ca dānamakṣayamucyate /
śrīvihīneṣu yaddattantadanantañca yajvani //
A gift to a guru, a household priest, and the like is said to be inexhaustible;
that which is given to the destitute [yields endless fruit], and it is infinite when given to a sacrificer.
