jalāśayaṃ vāruṇaṃ syāt vāridhānī ghaṭādayaḥ /
samudrajāni ratnāni hemalauhāni cānalaḥ //
A reservoir of water belongs to Varuṇa, [as do] water pots, jars, and the like;
gems born of the ocean [belong to Varuṇa]; and gold and iron belong to Agni.
