The Life of Ballālasena 2.15.40

2.15.40

viprāya dadyācca guṇānvitāya
tapobhiyuktāya jitendriyāya /
yāvanmahī tiṣṭhati sāgarāntā
tāvat phalaṃ tasya bhavedanantam //

If one gives to a Brahmin endowed with virtues,
engaged in austerities, who has mastered his senses,
for as long as the earth bounded by the ocean endures,
his fruit shall be endless.
