asaktam ārādhayato yathāyathaṃ vibhajya bhaktyā samapakṣapātayā
guṇānurāgād iva sakhyam īyivān na bādhate 'sya trigaṇaḥ parasparam //

Cultivating them without attachment, each in its proper place, / dividing [them] with devotion and equal impartiality, / his three aims of life do not obstruct one another, / as if having entered into friendship out of affection for his virtues.
