mathitāmbhaso rayavikīrṇamṛditakadalīgavedhukāḥ
klāntajalaruhalatāḥ sarasīr vidadhe nidāgha iva sattvasamplavaḥ //
The stampede of beasts churned the waters, scattering and crushing kadalī and gavedhukā reeds in its rush, / causing the lotus-creepers in the lakes to wither, just like the summer heat.
