jahātu nainaṃ katham arthasiddhiḥ saṃśayya karṇādiṣu tiṣṭhate yaḥ
asādyuyogā hi jayāntarāyāḥ pramāthinīnāṃ vipadāṃ padāni //
Why should the attainment of goals not abandon him who rests in doubt on Karṇa and the rest? / For association with the wicked creates obstacles to victory, seats of crushing calamities.
