rājadbhiḥ pathi marutām abhinnarūpair ulkārciḥ sphuṭagatibhir dhvajāṅkuśānām
tejobhiḥ kanakanikāṣarājigaurair āyāmaḥ kriyata iva sma sātirekaḥ //

Shining along the path of the winds with uniform appearance and swift motion like flashes of meteors, / the rays of the banners and goads, golden like lines on a touchstone, seemed to impart extraordinary length [to the path].
