atha sphuranmīnavidhūtapaṅkajā vipaṅkatīraskhalitormisaṃhatiḥ
payo 'vagāḍhuṃ kalahaṃsanādinī samājuhāveva vadhūḥ surāpagā //

Then the River of the Gods, whose lotuses were shaken by leaping fish, / whose mass of waves broke on mud-free banks, / echoing with the calls of royal swans, / seemed to summon the women to plunge into her waters.
